I was going to use a different intercooler, but the way the front end is all janked up right now limits my options, so I'll be changing it in the near future. But I definitely agree with you Andy, it looks ugly as hell. What's wrong with the front end?Not sure when I would be able to help you, but I have access to a cabinet beadblaster and you could paint it whatever color you wanted. If you end up keeping that IC piping, you could always have it powdercoated. |

And my car was purchased with a nasty-ass engine bay. |

Yea that sand blaster is a PITA to shoot and. The noozle doesn't like to stay while shooting. But it look good from the picture. Seem like your just more experience than I am HARRRRRRRRRRRRRR. There are two main issues that make that sandblaster a PITA to operate:1) My dad uses play sand as media, which is large in comparison with other media, and (I think) more prone to absorb moisture, and 2) I don't think there is any moisture removal in the compressed air system. The difficulty with keeping the nozzle on seems to be because of those two things, especially since the Black Beauty did so well. As far as me being more experienced: yes, but I've had years of practice. I did a subframe and the engine bay in my S13, which had NO paint left when I was finished. I just looked back through my pictures, and unfortunately do not have one to illustrate just how clean I got it before painting. |

If you guys knew how much car and house stuff I've accomplished in the past 3-4 months, your heads would spin. This will NOT be a "long-time-to-run" project. |

I like the color, but would've left it off the piping. It looks like it's already rubbing off the hot-side piping. |

Thanks Jason. Since it doesn't seem to be sinking in though, here's a hint: it displaces 2.85 times what an SR does. |

did you sandblast the engine bay? or just scuffed it up? i like how the engine bay came out. I used the canister blaster that sits near the pressure washer. It was a real PITA to use though, as the sand would clog the nozzle. I had some Black Beauty media to worked very well with the nozzle on, but it ran out quickly and I didn't have much of it.he's too anal receptive to NOT sand blast it. every part on his s13 got sand blasted. spent all that time on the white car and where is it now? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/044_fear.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/058_teehee.gif) Well...the arrival of the twins will change that. I will no longer have the time to be so detail-oriented.I have 0 regrets about the white car leaving. What a lot of people fail to understand, is that the journey was as much fun to me (if not more) than the finished product. as with all your work, the engine bay looks good. did you spray it with a gun? or rattle can'd it? Same Rustoleum I've used everywhere else with MUCH SUCCESS.(IMG:http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o20/2Fass240us/FunnyChit/borat_lebanon0109.jpg) As with real painting though, a good joerb comes at least partially from a good technique. I've done enough rattlecanning with this stuff that I've become pretty decent. Great job! What do u plan on putting in that clean ass engine bay??? U going with a stock rebuilt motor or something like and sr20 or bigger perhaps?? Czech the title. Unfortunately, no. They're about an inch and a half too tall. |

I wouldn't remove the bradford pears unless there's some chance of them falling on the house. You will miss the shade if you do. As for planting "taller" trees, I hope you mean that you'll plant small ones and they'll grow. I would not raise the bed in the front. |
