I read the thread and thought it was kind of dumb, the plant isin't "abandoned" it's just been closed down (that's why the lights and power are still on)

I don't really think it's "urban exploration" just trespassing. I know where a neigborhood is in Charlotte that has been bought out and uninhabited since the 80's, ir's a lot cooler than that.

Damn, that's cool! Why would they leave a neighborhood uninhabited since the 80's? Seems like too much money to be made.

I got one better than that! In Los Angeles, the airport was forced to buy all the land between the end of the runways and the ocean. (for those who dont know, when you fly out of LaX you take off over the water) There's literally $100,000,000 homes as far as you can see that are abandoned, and trees growing out the windows an shit-WEE-OOH, WEE-OOH!not to mention the 20' tall fence with razor wire surronding all those former nieghborhoods...it kinda awe inspiring to look at...made my mind spin anyways! Thoughts like, The power of the gov, or, the spending power of the airport, to the number of gallizionares it took to build the nieghborhoods to start with..wild stuff.

That's pretty neat. Reminds me of my childhood when me and a friend used to explore behind the GE plant in Castle Hayne.

Looked like an awsome place to go explore, reminds me of this place called the lost city in TN. Had to hike about 6 miles down the railroad tracks, and cut off where old tracks were years ago. About 4 miles up theres a small abandoned town...used to be a mining town. For some reason they stopping mining there, and just up and left, and the only way there was railroad or hiking... Pretty neat place to go camp.

place like that used to make brick near my house, not really worth exploring, but a house right near mine was abandoned, the people left their clothes in the closet, and the place is fully furnished for 1940's.
